Abstract
The book Zakhira Khawarizmshahi (by Seyed Esmaeil Jorjani) is one of the foundations of traditional Iranian medicine and a lesser encyclopedia of medical knowledge until the time of author himself that has been written in easily understandable Persian language.
Persian speaking and selection of Jorjani is meritorious at the time when a fresh language, lingual tool and knowledge were in the process of attachment with rest of the world. He tried to incorporate similar Persian vocabularies for medical dictums and idioms. But, with the reason that this Persian writing doesn’t alter lingual application and denotation, in most cases, first it applies Arabic vocabulary that practiced widely at that time and then it could be explain in Persian.
This Persian temperament is prevalent in the works of Jorjani especially in “Zakhireh”. The current paper tries to explain few of these vocabularies that have also been traced in poetry and prose books. Initially, sentences transcribed from Zakhireh and explanation and testimony have been given from poetic and prose texts.
