Abstract:   (779 Views)
Ever since being established in the 40s, CBC has tried to develop Iranian children literature by proposing proper criteria for selecting and critiquing the finest pieces. Considering the influence wielded by literary rewards, and the top works in cultivating the audience's mind and navigating the literary community, in this article, attempt was made to disclose CBC’s criteria, and indicating their alignment to the exemplary works of the 50s using qualitative content analysis so as to, on the one hand, evaluate CBC’s performance and proficiency during this defining decade, and, on the other hand, review and analyze an important stage of children’s literature, preferably, the history of critiquing Persian poetry. Three works from this era, written by Mahmood Kianoosh, were selected by CBC: the Green Indian parrot, the Golden beak silver wing, and the stars’ garden. This choice, in that decade, suggests that theoretically, and in terms of practically applying poetry composing criteria, CBC was influenced by this poet. According to CBC reviews, and based on the findings of this study, the principals of criticism in this decade had changed dramatically compared to the previous ones.  Artistic originality, poetic essence, and children’s point of view were considered as some of the main features of good poetry in this era. Moreover, this approach to children's poetry played a significant role in revolutionizing literary works of the following decades.
